Osijek hosts IPC Shooting World cup for the disabled 2015

Shooting World cup for the disabled 2015 was announced on a press conference held on July 1st, 2015. The conference was attended by Deputy Mayor Denis Ambruš,  Chairman of GSD „Osijek 1784“ Zvonimir  Kovačević,  Competition Manager Zoran Ćelić, Chairman of  Croatian ParaolympicCommittee Ratko Kovačić, and CPC's PR Darko Matić.

The World cup will start on 7th and will end 15th of July. It will be held on \"Pampas\" shooting range and Gradski vrt gym. The first two days will be the qualification of all competitors according to their level of disability, and then from 10th to 14th official competitions will take place.

10 meter disciplines will be held at Gradski vrt gym, whereas 25 and 50 meter disciplines will be held on \"Pampas\" shooting range.

250 competitors from 48 countries and 150 accompanying persons are expected to arrive.  14 disciplines and 12 finals are anticipated which add up to 600 performances.

It should be emphasized that this is the only world cup in Europe this year making it a great opportunity for achieving the norms needed for Paraolympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016.

Croatian team has 13 competitors who will have 32 performances.
